Throughout my career as a consultant, I have had the privilege of working with various clients across industries. However, my experience in the public sector, specifically during my time at Deloitte from 2013 to 2016, has been particularly formative and distinctive. This period allowed me to apply my seasoned skills to the unique challenges and objectives of governmental and national institutions.
Applying Government Strategies at Public Pensions
One notable engagement was with the Public Pensions National House, where I took on leadership roles as Engagement Manager and Project Leader for a project financed by the European Commission. The objective was to develop a simulation and forecasting model for the Pillar I pension system. This involved specifying and implementing the model, handling complex data transformation and analysis, deploying necessary technical infrastructure, and conducting training. This project provided valuable experience in applying analytical rigor and project management to a critical piece of national social infrastructure.
Data Governance Expertise at Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF)
I also had significant time dedicated to working with the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF). In various roles, including Data Governance Stream Lead and Senior Manager, I was involved in establishing and enhancing the authority’s data governance capabilities. This included implementing methodologies for data governance roles, defining necessary governance structures, and developing a framework for data quality. This experience highlighted the intricacies of data management within a regulatory body, emphasizing compliance, organizational design, and the importance of data integrity.

My engagement with the Ministry of European Funds presented different challenges, focusing heavily on IT and public procurement processes related to European Union funding. As an IT Expert and procurement specialist, I was responsible for developing technical specifications for tenders, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation, and conducting market analysis to establish realistic project values. Further involvement included supporting the management of EU-funded programs and contributing to the development of knowledge management platforms aimed at improving internal processes.
Public Sector IT Strategy and Procurement Expertise
Additionally, my work for the Ministry of National Education and Research involved similar procurement-focused activities. I provided expertise in establishing estimated values for IT system support services and defining technical requirements and SLAs for procurement procedures. This illustrated the application of procurement and IT strategy skills within the education sector, dealing with specific operational needs of a large public service provider.
